Dr. Dominic Raggi

I have so much fun every day working with my staff to hand craft our patients’ very best smiles. Helping people achieve warm, confident smiles is truly my passion, and I genuinely look forward to every day that I step foot into our offices.

I was born and raised in Washington, Pennsylvania, and attended Trinity High School. Working alongside my father in his construction business and participating in varsity athletics taught me the value of perseverance, hard work, and caring for others. After high school, I attended Allegheny College, where I majored in chemistry and graduated magna cum laude. While I enjoyed my time there, being away from Pittsburgh for four years reminded me just how much home meant to me.

I returned to the City of Champions to attend University of Pittsburgh School of Dental Medicine. Through hard work and great friendships, I graduated near the top of my class and was inducted into Omicron Kappa Upsilon (OKU), a prestigious national dental honor society.

I then completed my orthodontic residency at the University of Pittsburgh, where I had the privilege of learning from my mentor Dr. Robert Mortimer, who emphasized ethics, esthetics, compassion, and always putting patients first. During my residency, I also earned a Master of Dental Science degree through research exploring the benefits of maxillary expansion in pediatric patients with sleep-disordered breathing.

My wife, Dejana, and I are grateful to call this community home. We have a newborn daughter, Matilda, who keeps us on our toes. Outside the office, we enjoy cooking together in the kitchen, spending time with family, and all the moments of watching our daughter grow up!

I love going to work everyday to get to know all the people I see as we embark on a smile journey together.

I was born in Taiwan and grew up in the Bay Area in sunny California. My parents provided my siblings and I the opportunities they never had. They taught me to work hard, strive for excellence, and never forget those who’ve helped me along the way.

After high school, I went on to pursue higher education at UCLA and the University of Pittsburgh School of Dental Medicine. Upon graduation from dental school, I was inducted into the prestigious honorary dental society, OKU. After dental school graduation, I completed a general practice residency with the Veteran Affairs at Mare Island, California. After which I worked for a year in general dentistry. I then returned to Pittsburgh to study for my orthodontic certificate and master of dental science degree at the University of Pittsburgh School of Dental Medicine. I am also board certified with the American Board of Orthodontics.

My husband and I met during dental school, and he has been my greatest supporter and best friend ever since. We are blessed with two children, Lillian and Owen. It is such a joy to watch them grow up in this wonderful community. We also have a lovable scaredy-cat named Max. In our free time, we enjoy cooking, spending time with friends and family, and being outdoors together.
