If you’ve reached this page, hopefully your child has already taught you something they learned during a recent school presentation from our office!
Visiting local schools and teaching children how to keep their teeth healthy for the long haul is one of the ways we love to give back to our community. Our goal is to make dental health fun and memorable while helping children build healthy habits that can last a lifetime.

As we mentioned in our handout, the American Association of Orthodontists recommends that children have their first orthodontic check-up by age 7.
Most children do not need orthodontic treatment at this age. Often, the best approach is simply monitoring how their teeth and jaws grow and develop over time.
Below are some examples of developing teeth and bites that may be worth discussing with an orthodontist.

Initial visits at Signature Orthodontics are provided at no cost, and a referral from your dentist is not required.
